"Write it on your heart that everyday is the best day of the year." ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
The Bible tells us to occupy until Jesus comes. In other words, live your life, love one another so people will know you are a Christian. Enjoy life. Make each day the best day of the year. Occupy!
Some of us have taken this ‘occupy-ing’ to the Nth degree. Some of us are hoarding and storing things like we’re going to live on this earth forever. We act like this life is for getting and keeping things.
If you know Jesus as your Lord and Savior then you know that he has gone to prepare a place for us so we can be with Him. In John 14:2 and 3 it says, “ …I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself, that where I am, there ye may be also.”
The Father sent His son to give us abundant life. Because of Jesus we are blessed in every area of our lives, we have favor that cannot be stopped, and we are loved beyond measure. We don’t have to fret and stew and hoard things to make life here more bearable; we need to set our minds on things above.
Our Father wants us to enjoy life today, and trust Him for tomorrow. The things of this world that we prize so much down here won’t mean a ‘hill of beans’ in heaven. Let’s keep looking up and marching onward.
“For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.” Luke 12:34
Have a great day; and remember who and Whose you are.
