Praying Parents

Merle and Kathy Quimby
"Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it." Proverbs 22:6

Recently my mother has been in the hospital twice within two weeks time. God has really touched her physically, and she is home now and feeling much better. My dad pulled a muscle in his right arm during this time, but he is like the Timex watch, "He took a lickin' and kept on tickin'."; but he is improving also.

They are in their mid-eighties, and approaching their 65th wedding anniversary in December of this year. It is nearly impossible to convey how much I love and respect them. They have pastored churches for over 55 years. My dad is still on staff at the church he last pastored and preaches from time to time.

I just wanted to take the time to express my thanks for Godly parents who introduced me and both of my brothers to Jesus at an early age. My praying parents never ceased to set the example for us.

They have always given me Godly advice. to my detriment, I did not always take that advice. I did "my own thing" for several years; but God's faithful promise and my parents ceaseless prayers paid off.

If you are a parent whose child has wandered from God, just remember that God's Word is true and he does watch over it to perform it. Don't give up. Keep praying and praising the Lord for the answer. Know that God will do what he said he
will do.

"So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I send it." Isaiah 55:11 KJV

Thank you, Lord that now I am one of those praying parents; and I know that you are working the night shift to turn my children's hearts to you.

Have a great day and remember who and Whose you are.
