Think Outside The Box

Think Outside The Box - popular saying

We are often advised to “think outside the box”, which I interpret to mean to obtain a different perspective, to see old things in new ways, to make it “new and improved."

Society has jumped all over that concept with everything from breakfast cereal to operating systems for computers. Sometimes I think that “new and improved” and “think outside the box” means offer less and charge more. I know that is cynical, however, I am certain that many of you agree with my analysis.

I am of the opinion that there are many out there in “Christianity” that are all for “new and improved” and “think outside the box” as regards living out this Christian life. Some who call themselves “Christians” want to think outside the box concerning marriage, homosexuality and the point at which a baby becomes a human being. They are willing to accept all religions as being equal in validity as a path to obtaining eternal life and right standing with God. They believe all these things to be only fair.

“…The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” 2 Timothy 2:19 KJV

God is not fair. He is just and He is righteous; but He is not fair. He is not unreachable, either. That is why He sent Jesus Christ; His only begotten Son to live, to die on a cross, and to be resurrected again so that mankind could be reconciled to Himself.

There is no “new and improved” way, nor is there a way to God that is “outside the box.” The old way to God is the only way to God; and that is by believing on Jesus Christ and the One that sent Him.

"(16)For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (17) For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. (18) He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God". John 3:16-18 KJV

Have a great day; and remember who and Whose you are.
