It’s Your Move!

"If God seems far away, Who moved?" -  from What on Earth are You Doing, for Heaven's Sake? by The C.R. Gibson Company

In Exodus 3:1-5, we find Moses out in the Sinai Desert tending the sheep for his father-in-law. While he was out there near Mt. Horeb, he saw a bush that was burning with flames, but it was not consumed. As he made an effort to go check out what was going on, God called to him from the bush. We know rest of the account of how Moses was called to lead the Israelites out from the captivity of Egypt.

The burning bush was there to get Moses’ attention. Moses turned aside to see what was going on. God met him in the desert.

God sent His only begotten son, Jesus Christ to die on a cross to get your attention. Step off the beaten path that the rest of the world is on, and draw near to Mount Calvary. God is just waiting for you to make a move toward him, so he can meet you.

Take a step towards God...you will find that He is just waiting to show you his goodness. "Or despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forebearance and longsuffering; not knowing that that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?" Romans 2:4 KJV.

You will find that He is not mad at you. "For this is like the days of Noah to me; as I swore that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth, so I have sworn that I will not be angry with you or rebuke you." Isaiah 54:9 TAB

You will find that He will not remember your sins against you any more. "(12) For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more. (13) In that he saith, A new covenant (in Jesus blood*) hath made the first (the law*) old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away." Hebrews 8:12-13 KJV

He is a good God and He loves you. He isn't as far away as you may think. Just call upon the name of Jesus and you will be saved and reconciled to God the Father.

It’s your move!

"Come close to God and He will come close to you." James 4:8 (a) TAB

Have a great day; and remember who and Whose you are.
