Come As You Are

Come as you are!
"Come as you are." ~ Seen in the church bulletin

That's how Christ invites us. Come as you are; for He loves you just as you are. Just as you are!

He doesn't require tie and tails. There is no dress code, there is no character references needed. He does not ask you to clean up the mess that your life has become. He will do that. Just come as you are.

Jesus was often criticized for associating with the sinners and out casts of the of the day. He did not roll into town and associate only with the religious 'upper crust' of his day. He came to seek and to save the lost. His message and his invitation have not changed with the times. Jesus still wants us as we are.

If you are discouraged, or have lost faith; if you have turned back from serving God; just put it aside. If you have never accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, come to the foot of the cross and begin a new life. Each of us starts at the same place-- at the foot of the cross.

Jesus loves you and He has already forgiven all your sin completely--past, present and future. All you have to do is call upon the name of the Lord and be saved.

Bow your head and your heart to Him and begin again. Come as you are. He will not turn you away.

"When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick.  I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."  Mark 2:17

Have a great day; and remember who and Whose you are.
