Peace

"Peace is not the absence of conflict, but the ability to cope with
it." - Unknown

Jesus told us that there would be wars and rumors of wars. In the
same verse (Matthew 24:6; Mark 13:7; Luke 21:11) in all three accounts,he said not to be afraid.

It is hard to feel peaceful when there are rogue nations who have nuclear capability. Then we have, too, those of a criminal mindset that are loose in our society, those who mean harm to people--any people. We have religions that claim to be all for peace and co-existence, but their actions say that we must all believe what they believe or we must die. We even have nut dictators that just want to see people die to further their economic and political goals. All that makes for lots of frightened people around the world.

Jesus promised us that he would leave His peace with us. His is a peace born from knowing that God loves us and that if we accept Jesus Christ as Lord and savior, we will have peace-an undisturbed composure on the inside-no matter what happens in the world.

Christians do not look to a political party or one President over another leader to provide hope for our futures. We put our hope and trust in God. Our lives are lived in God. No matter what happens here in this world, when we die we will go to be with the Lord forever.

How the world needs peace, and I'm not just talking about absence of
conflict. There will always be wars and rumors of wars as Jesus said. The peace of our Lord is beyond human comprehension. It is a spiritual thing that is spiritually discerned. You have to accept Jesus as your personal Lord to have access to his peace. You must believe that he is the Son of God and accept the free gift of forgiveness that he died to secure for you.

Remember to pray for our military personnel and our leaders.
Pray for our Christian brothers and sisters all over the world. Many are at risk of their lives because of the Gospel, many have already died because they are guilty of nothing more than being Christians. Christians are being killed even now in Egypt as civil war, insurgency rages.

Dear Lord, give me boldness to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ; and to pray for those on the front lines around the world.

"And the peace I give isn't fragile like the peace the world gives. So don't be troubled or afraid." John 14:27(b) TLB

Have a great day; and remember who and Whose you are.

"Now unto Him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy." Jude v. 24 KJV

I apologize for not finishing the rest of yesterday's post about the Word of God. It will be forthcoming.
