Stand Your Ground!

"I can't take much more; I don't know what to do next."  - From a woman who was nearly at the end of her rope

What do we do in a case like that?  Do we make a few calls to get things done the way we want them done, do we coerce someone, do we threaten someone, or bully them? Do we sit down, hang our heads and cry?

Some of those suggestions may sound like what we would deem appropriate in dire circumstances; but is it Christ-like? Is it what Jesus would do?

Of course it is not! When we have fought the good fight of faith
and there still isn't victory in a situation. There is still one more
thing that we can do. Stand your ground!

"Wherefore, take unto you the whole armor of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all to *stand. *Stand, therefore..."  Ephesians 6:13 KJV

Stand. If you have not won, then the battle is not over! Keep standing!

1 Corinthians 16:13 LNT  “Be on guard. *Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong.”

Galatians 5:1 KJV  “*Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.”

Philippians 1:27 AMP  “Only be sure as citizens so to conduct yourselves [that] your manner of life [will be] worthy of the good news (the Gospel) of Christ, so that whether I [do] come and see you or am absent, I may hear this of you: that you are *standing firm in united spirit and purpose, striving side by side and contending with a single mind for the faith of the glad tidings (the Gospel).”

Colossians 4:12 KJV  “Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may *stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.”

2 Thessalonians 2:15 NKJ  “Therefore, brethren, *stand fast and hold the traditions which you were taught, whether by word or our epistle.”

Peter 5:12 NKJ  “By Silvanus, our faithful brother as I consider him, I have written to you briefly, exhorting and testifying that this is the true grace of God in which you *stand.”

We are already victors! Christ has already won! He showed the devil up for what he is. A loser! A defeated foe! So Stand in Christ's victory. Stand in his health, stand in his provision, stand in his obedience. There is nothing for us to do. Just stand in Christ! He has already done it once for all, for all time. Jesus did it all!

Have a great day; and remember who and Whose you are.
