A Little Kindness

"A little kindness goes a long way." ~  American Proverb
  
"The story was told that there was a man who had just been released from prison; he had been incarcerated for three years. During that time, he thought often about returning home; but he also thought about the shame and the possible ridicule he might have to face.    

After a time, his longing for family and friends drew him back to his home town. As he walked down the street, the first person he encountered was the mayor of the town. The mayor said, "Good morning. It's good to see you." and proceeded on his way.
   
Many years later the man had become a great success in life. He met the mayor at a charity dinner that they were both attending as guest speakers.

We can never be sure whose life we may touch for good and for God when we simply extend a courtesy to a stranger. Kindness is an attribute of love; and, God is love!

"A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in a setting of silver." Proverbs 25:11
