It’s Your Move!

"If God seems far away, who moved?" ~ from What on Earth are You Doing, for Heaven's Sake? by The C.R. Gibson Company

In Exodus 3:1-5, we find Moses out in the Sinai Desert tending the sheep for his father-in-law.  While he was out there near Mt. Horeb, he saw a bush that was burning with flames, but it was not consumed. As he made an effort to go check out what was going on, God noticed him and called to him from the bush. We know the rest of the account of how Moses was called to lead the Israelites out from the captivity of Egypt.

The burning bush was there to get Moses’ attention. Moses turned aside to see what was going on. Moses made the first move. God met him in the desert.

God sent His only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to die on a cross to get your attention. Step off the beaten path that the rest of the world is on, and draw near to Mount Calvary. God is just waiting for you to make a move toward him, so he can meet you. He isn't as far away as you may think.

It’s your move! Take the first step. Find out how much He loves you. Learn that He is a good God; that He is just waiting for a chance to to do you good.

Have a great day; and remember who and Whose you are.
