The Cross Of Christ

"All heaven is interested in the cross of Christ, all hell terribly afraid of it, while men are the only beings who more or less ignore its meaning." ~ Oswald Chambers

Do you, as a Christian, really know what the cross of Christ means, do you know all the implications, have you studied it?

The more I learn, the more I realize how little I know about the cross of Christ. I know that it is the single greatest event in the history of all mankind--past, present, and future. I know that my Savior bled and died there. I know it took an untold amount of love to send Jesus there. I know it took that much love for Jesus to go and stay there until He gave up His life. I know quite a few more things about it; but I still don't know enough. I may never know it all, maybe not even in heaven.

It bears study and contemplation. After reading an article by Mark Eastman, M.D., I am convinced that I need to know more. If you want to know more go to Medical Aspects of the Crucifixion: The Agony of Love to read about it. t will break your heart, as it did mine. That's a good thing!

My prayer is: "Father, help me to learn more about the cross of Christ. Cause me to realize the love it took for you to send your Son to die for me. I want to begin my life, anew, at the foot of the cross. I want to know you more.

"Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God."  Hebrews 12:2 KJV

Have a great day; and remember who and Whose you are.
