A Fresh New Day

Hi There,

Today is a new day. It is fresh day, and very much like a blank slate. You can make today whatever you want it to be, whether you read this early in the morning or late in the evening. It is a day given to you by God. It's your choice.

"Great!" you say, "but you have no idea what I have to deal with today". Well, you are right about that. I don't know what you have to contend with from day to day. I have no idea what your life is like today. I cannot know what the future holds for you. I know what my life was like, and I know that it will be better fromnow on.

Wouldn't that make things better? I mean, being able to know what your life was going to be like, being able to know that it would be good, that you would be loved unconditionally. Wouldn't you just for once, like being able to know that you would always have a friend that would be there for you, no matter what? Wouldn't you like to know that friend would never leave or abandon you no matter what the circumstances of your life bring?

Well, you can have a friend like that. You can know what is in your future. You can know that it will always be OK no matter what.

Now you're probably wondering if I have been smoking something or not, right? I don't blame you. What I have told you sounds almost too good to be true; and your mama taught you better than that! Your mama was right to caution you; but I have a friend like that and it does sound almost too good to be true.

I promise you that it is true. You see, I'm talking about Jesus Christ.

Almost all us of know something or another about Jesus Christ. This isn't the first time you have heard that name; but this is the first time you have ever considered listening to what someone can tell you about him. Keep reading there is Good News ahead.

Jesus didn't just come here to be perfect and a good example for us to follow. Although he did that better than anyone else has ever done it. There is so much more to the story than presenting a good man. He came with a purpose and he accomplished his purpose perfectly. He came to forgive you of sin and to pay the price to redeem you from certain eternal death.

Jesus did such a good job of forgiving you of sin that he forgave of all your past, present and future sin. You're already forgiven!

All you have to do is repent. Repent means, "to change your mind and to start believing like God believes." That is the simple truth.

Just ask Jesus to come and live in your heart. After you do that, you're saved, born again. There is nothing you have to do or not do that will change the fact that you are saved. The Bible is a book that will help you learn more about Jesus.

Get one and start reading in Matthew, the first book of the New Testament; and continue reading the rest of the New Testament. It's all about Jesus.

If you want to learn more go to a Bible believing church that preaches about Jesus. Pray, which is just conversation with God, and see if your life doesn't get better. You will not only gain a new day, but a new life.

Have a wonderful day, and a wonderful life.
