About The Golden Rule

How often have we heard that sentiment expressed in society? It is carnal thinking. “What is so bad about that?” you may ask.

Carnal thinking is not good! Carnal thinking is, thinking about things in the way of the world; and not in the way that God thinks. 

God's Word tells us to do good unto all men, and especially to those who are brothers and sisters in Christ.

“As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.”  Galatians 6:10 KJV

The Bible warns us that evil men do good to their own. So, if that is all we do, how different are we from evil men? We aren't very different from evil men if we don't have the mind of Christ and think like Christ.

Let's take a look at this one more time. We have death to the carnally minded on the one hand; and, on the other hand, we have life and peace for the spiritually minded. I choose life and peace. What will you choose?  

Think like the Father thinks! Do good every chance you get; whether for saint or sinner. It will give Jesus Christ a good name around your neighborhood.
